The file browser consists of a list of categories, each containing one or more images. Click on a category header to open or close it, and click on an image to either view it or add it to the download queue. (If it's on disk or not, respectively.) Categories that contain new pictures will have a vertical bar on their left edge. The bar is black if the category contains all new files, and grey if the category contains only some new files.

Diiva uses small icon badges to inform you about a file's state. There are four of these badges, described below. Categories are badged to reflect their contents; if a category contains at least one image that is queued, for example, that category's header will have a "queued" badge on it. If all of the files in a category are of the same state, the category's header will have a single centered badge. (All of the Edward Hopper images are on disk, for example.)
